Carmen Cook

Hi! I’m Carmen Cook, wife, mom, romance author and as someone once told me, “you have a job job.” I’m not sure what I’d describe as just a job, but sure. I have a job job too. Through it all, writing and reading romance is a staple.

I grew up in Montana riding horses, camping, hiking and dreaming of life in a big city. A really big city, not a MT sized city. After graduating from the U of M, I headed West where the Seattle skyline was beckoning. Shortly after arriving, I met my husband and promptly toppled head over heels. And now, while I schlep my kids around, I dream of horses, camping and hiking the mountains of Montana. Isn’t that the way it always goes?

I grew up with sisters, but am now surrounded by boys, who often leave me scratching my head and wondering where that smell is coming from. And, as the boys started to grow, my focus began to shift. Teaching my sons how to treat (and be treated) by their future partners became a priority. And, as I started to write, it’s spilled over into my stories too.
